Gaziantep

A view of the city, from a balcony.

Gaziantep, previously and still informally called Aintab or Antep, is the capital of the Gaziantep Province, in the westernmost part of Turkey's Southeastern Anatolia Region and partially in the Mediterranean Region, approximately 185 km (115 mi) east of Adana and 97 km (60 mi) north of Aleppo, Syria.

A street with cars parked on the side.

My family moved to Gaziantep from Istanbul when I was about 5. We lived there for 5 years, then moved to Germany.

An alley, with a mosque's minaret in the background.

A flock of birds flies over Gaziantep, a mosque is in the background.

A busy street, and some slightly fancier apartments than usual.

A view of a street, covered in snow.
